Alec Bradley Launches Royal Monkey Society
On Wednesday afternoon, Alec Bradley launched a new membership-based fan website called the Royal Monkey Society. According to the site, it promises “access to some of the most sought after cigars in the world,” with members receiving “these coveted cigars in multiple shipments throughout the year.” The site promises limited vitolas from blends currently being worked on, pre-release samples, one-off sizes and experimental cigars.
In addition, membership also promises access to “exclusive Alec Bradley information before anyone else through the Royal Monkey Blog.”
There are four levels of membership, starting with the top tier “Alpha Male,” which comes with a $1,200 price tag. There is only one of these slots available, with the benefits described as:
As an Alpha Male you will get in on the cigar blending process with access no one has ever seen before. We will send you at least one of every cigar that we blend with throughout the year. Imagine being able to try a new Fine & Rare before it is even announced! Of course, that is if we decide to make some more Fine & Rare’s *wink*. Over the course of a year you will receive at least 200 cigars. This might never be repeated again. You will also receive a limited edition Royal Monkey lighter and a Royal Monkey Bump Ashtray.
The Distinguished membership level is $399 and has seven openings, with the following description:

The introductory level is known as the Diplomat and is priced at $99, with 112 openings at that level. It is described as:
