Fresh off news of lowering prices one dollar across the board, AKA Cigars has announced plans for two new sizes and two new lines, one of which will debut at IPCPR 2012. President Jay Lundy has been working on a new Solace Connecticut for the past few months which is finally finished and will debut at IPCPR 2012.

In addition, for the past few months Lundy has toyed with a Petit Corona and Lancero, both of which are being added to the broader AKA profile. The 4 1/2 x 42 size will be added to the Solace line at $4.75, the Hybrid line at $5.00 and Respect at $5.25. A 7 x 38 Lancero is being added to the Hybrid and Respect lines for $7.75 and $8.00 respectively. It’s one of a few Lancero-based releases that has come out of Tabacos Ranchos Jamastran, the factory known for Camacho, which produces AKA Cigars.

AKA is also planning its first limited addition, called the Nth Degree, for a release in late 2012 or early 2013. The Dallas-based manufacturer will limit distribution to select retailers initially and plans on bringing the line to full distribution in late 2013. Nth Degree will be a heavier Maduro cigar, although the blend is being finalized.
