In the same interview where he announced plans for El Mayimbe, Abdel Fernandez told Cigar.com’s Alex Svenson that San Lotano brand would be expanding with a Meier & Dutch exclusive, San Lotano The Bull. It’s expect to be available shortly through the distribution company that is associated with Cigars International.

San Lotano The Bull features an Ecuadorian Sumatra wrapper and is described as medium-to-full. Each cigar comes wrapped in its own cedar sleeve that features bull branding.

Fernandez told Svenson:

They have been with us since the beginning so when they asked for something special, I couldn’t refuse. We don’t make many box-pressed cigars since San Lotano has become fairly synonymous for our trademark Oval shape. I would have made “The Bull” round, which is what I would have preferred, but that blend just burns better in the box-pressed format. That’s the secret to San Lotano “The Bull.” Half the influence of the smoke comes from the shape, the other half from the blend. It isn’t a powerhouse, but that isn’t what we were going for. We wanted something medium to full-bodied that’s packed with flavor.

San Lotano The Bull will ship in three sizes:

  • Robusto (5 x 54) — $6.60 (Boxes of 10, $66.00)
  • Toro (6 x 54) — $7.70 (Boxes of 10, $77.00)
  • Torpedo (6 1/2 x 54) — $8.80 (Boxes of 10, $88.00)
