A bill will be introduced later today that could make it illegal to walk and smoke at the same time in New York City.

Councilman Peter Koo, D-Queens, will introduce a bill that would make it a misdemeanor to smoke and walk at the same time. It doesn’t appear Koo’s bill will make it illegal to simply smoke on a sidewalk.

New York City banned smoking in public parks in 2011.
