Alongside the recently released Viaje Zombie Super Shot and Zombie Peppers, it has come to light that Viaje also shipped the latest installment of its Zombie line, the Zombie Green and Zombie Red.

While a representative of the company declined to comment on the cigars and they have not been featured on the company’s social media channels, several retailers have begun listing them for sale. According to those listings and information provided to halfwheel, the Zombie Green once again features a criollo wrapper, while the Zombie Red returns with a maduro wrapper. Both measure 5 x 52 and are believed to maintain the perfecto vitola of previous releases. They are both priced at $12.10 per cigar and come in 20-count boxes.

The Zombie series was launched in 2011 and has since expanded into numerous line extensions such as the Zombie Antidote and Zombie Biohazard, and is often meshed with other lines in the company’s portfolio to create cigars like the Thanksgiving-themed Zombie Farmer Bill Hatchet.

I strive to capture the essence of a cigar and the people behind them in my work – every cigar you light up is the culmination of the work of countless people and often represents generations of struggle and stories. For me, it’s about so much more than the cigar – it’s about the story behind it, the experience of enjoying the work of artisans and the way that a good cigar can bring people together. In addition to my work with halfwheel, I’m the public address announcer for the Colorado Rockies and Arizona Diamondbacks during spring training, as well as for the Salt River Rafters of the Arizona Fall League, the WNBA's Phoenix Mercury and previously the Arizona Rattlers of the Indoor Football League. I also work in a number of roles for Major League Baseball, plus I'm a voice over artist. Prior to joining halfwheel, I covered the Phoenix and national cigar scene for Examiner.com, and was an editor for Cigar Snob magazine.
