Habanos S.A. is expanding the number of golf-inspired Montecristo cigars with the new Montecristo Open Slam.

The Montecristo Open Slam measures 5 3/5 (142mm) x 52 a vitola known as Idílicos, which appears to be a new vitola for the Cuban cigar world. It will join the Montecristo Open sub-brand, which launched in 2009 with four vitolas. While pricing has not been announced, Habanos S.A. has said it will be offered in boxes of 15 and 20 cigars.

While Habanos S.A.’s press information mentions that it is designed for smokers who enjoy their cigars outside, the Open line has always had obvious ties to golf. Other vitola names include “Eagle” and “Master,” and “Slam” itself could be a reference to a grand slam, which is achieved in golf by winning the PGA Championship, the U.S. Open, the Open Championship and The Masters.

A release date has not been announced.
