Micky Pegg has been named the president of sales for Micallef Cigars and All Saints Cigars, a company co-owned by Pegg, will now be sold by Micallef’s sales team.

Pegg will lead a Micallef sales team that has seven people in the field—six sales representatives and Andy Yaffee, national sales director—and will now also sell products from All Saints. A press release indicates that most other operations—fulfillment and invoicing—will remain separate. While Pegg is joining Micallef, the ownership structures of the two companies are not changing, and therefore, the two companies remain separate entities.

“I am thrilled to roll up my sleeves and work hands-on with a dedicated sales force once again,” said Pegg in a press release. “I am transparent that All Saints Cigars is my Plan A and there is no Plan B.  We’re implementing a strategy with Micallef that I firmly believe in. The decision strengthens Plan A and reiterates our commitment to excellence and growth.”

Pegg is referencing his time leading the CAO sales force prior to that company’s integration into General Cigar Co. in 2010. Nearly a decade later—in April 2020—Pegg, Frank Layo and Martin Corboy launched All Saints. In 2017, Al Micallef, a successful restaurateur, launched Micallef Cigars after meeting Joel and Edel Gomez Sanchez, Cuban-born brothers whose family owned a cigar factory in Nicaragua. Micallef produces all of its cigars at its own factory in Nicaragua, while All Saints cigars are produced at Rocky Patel’s Tabacalera Villa Cubana S.A. factory, also in Nicaragua.

Micallef says that Pegg is already in the field working with the company’s sales representatives.

Update: An earlier version of this post stated that Pegg was joining All Saints, he is joining Micallef.
