This past February, Nestor Miranda celebrated his 75th birthday, later this year he’ll get a cigar to celebrate it.

Miami Cigar & Co. is planning the Nestor Miranda Collection 75th Anniversary, a limited edition honoring the company’s founder. The company is declining to talk most details, but Nate McIntyre told halfwheel it is being produced by My Father Cigars S.A., the factory that has produced the other Nestor Miranda releases over the years.

A release date is planned for later this year, though it won’t coincide with Miranda’s actual birthday, which takes place on Valentine’s Day.

Miranda celebrated his 70th birthday with a pair of cigars, packaged in 12-count boxes that resembled the A/C Shelby Cobra.

I am an editor and co-founder of halfwheel.com/Rueda Media, LLC. I previously co-founded and published TheCigarFeed, one of the two predecessors of halfwheel. I have written about the cigar industry for more than a decade, covering everything from product launches to regulation to M&A. In addition, I handle a lot of the behind-the-scenes stuff here at halfwheel. I enjoy playing tennis, watching boxing, falling asleep to the Le Mans 24, wearing sweatshirts year-round and eating gyros. echte liebe.
