Maya Selva to Release Villa Zamorano Reserva in U.S.

While Maya Selva’s Villa Zamorano Reserva isn’t a new cigar, it will be new to U.S. consumers when they see it on store shelves this summer.

The line was originally—and quietly—launched at the 2016 IPCPR Convention & Trade Show, with shipping to European retailers beginning at the end of 2016. The cigar is a Honduran puro that features a wrapper grown Maya Selva Cigars’ farm, Santa Eulalia in the Jamastrán region.

While it comes in seven sizes elsewhere, the U.S. market will only be seeing four of them:

• Villa Zamorano Reserva Expreso (3 1/2 x 52) — $4.90 (Boxes of 25, $122.50)
• Villa Zamorano Reserva El Gordo (5 x 56) — $6.30 (Boxes of 25, $157.50)
• Villa Zamorano Reserva Robusto (5 x 50) — $5.50 (Boxes of 25, $137.50)
• Villa Zamorano Reserva No. 15 (5 1/2 x 54) — $6.50 (Boxes of 25, $162.50)

Each size comes in 25-count wooden cabinet boxes, with the line produced by the San Judas Tadeo factory in Danlí, Honduras. It is scheduled to begin shipping to U.S. retailers on July 20.
