The first new Matilde for the U.S. market in quite some time has begun shipping to stores today.

It’s the Matilde Limited Exposure No.1, a 6 x 50 toro that is being made at TABACALERA LA iSLA in Santiago de los Caballeros, Dominican Republic. It uses a Mexican wrapper over a Dominican binder and fillers from the Dominican Republic. This is the first in what is planned to be a larger Limited Exposure series including more vitolas of this blend.

The Limited Exposure No.1 has an MSRP of $10.50 per cigar and it is limited to 250 boxes of 20 cigars.

This is the first Matilde cigar to be made at Tabacalera La Isla, the less-than-one-year-old factory owned by Hostos Fernández Quesada.
