Asylum Cigars is planning two very different cigar releases for the upcoming IPCPR convention and trade show. On one side is the mild Insidious by Asylum, a release the company is describing as a “beginner cigar” and on the other is Nyctophilia, a fully maduro cigar.

Nyctophilia will use a Mexican San Andrés maduro wrapper over Nicaraguan fillers, produced at undisclosed Nicaraguan factory. It is offered in four sizes 4 x 44 ($7), 6 x 50 ($8), 6 x 60 ($9) and 6 x 66 ($10). All are sold in boxes of 25, which are expected to ship in August according to Tom Lazuka.

The two releases make up the new cigars for Asylum at the 2014 IPCPR convention and trade show, which begins next week in Las Vegas, Nev. The company’s collaboration with New Holland brewing has been delayed until September.

Asylum is distributed by CLE Cigar Company/Fabricas Unidas.
