ACE Prime recently announced that its Luciano The Dreamer line will be growing with three new sizes and a new wine designed to partner with it, and now another new size has been released as a retailer exclusive.

It’s a 6 1/2 x 38 Short Lancero that is offered in five-count packs priced at $70, which works out to $14 per cigar.

The Luciano The Dreamer line uses an Ecuadorian habano corojo 99 wrapper and a Nicaraguan binder, with the fillers coming from Nicaragua and Peru, and is produced at Tabacalera Pichardo in Nicaragua. The line debuted in August 2020 as a 7 1/2 x 38 lancero, but the company recently announced it will be adding three new sizes slated to debut in early 2022:

  • Luciano The Dreamer Hermoso No. 4 (5 x 48) — $12 (Box of 15, $180)
  • Luciano The Dreamer Toro de Lux (6 7/8 x 50) — $12.50 (Box of 15, $187.50)
  • Luciano The Dreamer Belicoso (5 1/2 x 52) — $12.95 (Box of 15, $194.25)

Production numbers have not yet been announced.

It is named for Luciano Meirelles, a co-founder of ACE Prime as well as its master blender and president.

I strive to capture the essence of a cigar and the people behind them in my work – every cigar you light up is the culmination of the work of countless people and often represents generations of struggle and stories. For me, it’s about so much more than the cigar – it’s about the story behind it, the experience of enjoying the work of artisans and the way that a good cigar can bring people together. In addition to my work with halfwheel, I’m the public address announcer for the Colorado Rockies and Arizona Diamondbacks during spring training, as well as for the Salt River Rafters of the Arizona Fall League, the WNBA's Phoenix Mercury and previously the Arizona Rattlers of the Indoor Football League. I also work in a number of roles for Major League Baseball, plus I'm a voice over artist. Prior to joining halfwheel, I covered the Phoenix and national cigar scene for Examiner.com, and was an editor for Cigar Snob magazine.
