The Lotus Group releasing three new travel humidors, including a slightly wider version of a typical five-count box that will allow you to pack in a few extra smaller cigars or give your thicker cigars space to breathe.

The VC-05SL model is the most notable of the trio, as it is billed as being able to hold seven to 10 cigars. Its outer dimensions measure 9 inches wide by 6 1/2 inches deep and 1 7/8 inches high, which gives it a bit more room to hold cigars, particularly those of shorter lengths and smaller ring gauges, or give a bit more space to larger ring gauges, which can often reduce the capacity of standard sized five-count boxes. The unit is lockable, watertight, airtight and impact resistant, while featuring a bead humidifier inside the lid. It is offered at $29.95.

The company is also offering two other sizes in the VC series, the VC-10, a 10-count model that measures 8 5/8 inches by 5 inches by 2 5/8 inches and is priced at $29.95; and the VC-05, a five-count that measures 8 5/8 inches by 5 inches by 1 3/4 inches, priced at $27.95. They are also watertight, airtight and impact resistant, with a built in carrying strap and humidification unit.

All of the humidors are in stock and available to ship immediately.

I strive to capture the essence of a cigar and the people behind them in my work – every cigar you light up is the culmination of the work of countless people and often represents generations of struggle and stories. For me, it’s about so much more than the cigar – it’s about the story behind it, the experience of enjoying the work of artisans and the way that a good cigar can bring people together. In addition to my work with halfwheel, I’m the public address announcer for the Colorado Rockies and Arizona Diamondbacks during spring training, as well as for the Salt River Rafters of the Arizona Fall League, the WNBA's Phoenix Mercury and previously the Arizona Rattlers of the Indoor Football League. I also work in a number of roles for MLB.com, plus I'm a voice over artist. Prior to joining halfwheel, I covered the Phoenix and national cigar scene for Examiner.com, and was an editor for Cigar Snob magazine.
