In March, the Lotus Group/Integral Logistics announced that it had acquired the distribution rights to Ciguardian Products, the Cave Creek, Ariz. humidification company owned by Belinda Doyle. Next week at the 2016 IPCPR Convention & Trade Show, the pair will unveil the newest addition to the Ciguardian line, a two-way portable humidification pack.

PowerPoint Presentation

The new packs are being sold with the promise of eliminating peaks and valleys in humidity levels while maintaining 70 percent humidity. The humidification solution inside of each pack has two additives, one that is anti-fungal and the other that is anti-mold, both of which are designed to provide an additional level of protection for stored cigars.

Each pack is made in the U.S.A. and has an MSRP of $3.49. It will be available both individually or in 12-count boxes.

An earlier version of this story referred to Doyle’s company as Cigar Tech; that has been updated to reflect its new name of Ciguardian Products, as has its move from Scottsdale, Ariz. to Cave Creek, Ariz.

I strive to capture the essence of a cigar and the people behind them in my work – every cigar you light up is the culmination of the work of countless people and often represents generations of struggle and stories. For me, it’s about so much more than the cigar – it’s about the story behind it, the experience of enjoying the work of artisans and the way that a good cigar can bring people together. In addition to my work with halfwheel, I’m the public address announcer for the Colorado Rockies and Arizona Diamondbacks during spring training, as well as for the Salt River Rafters of the Arizona Fall League, the WNBA's Phoenix Mercury and previously the Arizona Rattlers of the Indoor Football League. I also work in a number of roles for MLB.com, plus I'm a voice over artist. Prior to joining halfwheel, I covered the Phoenix and national cigar scene for Examiner.com, and was an editor for Cigar Snob magazine.
