The Lotus Group/Integral Logistics is giving portable humidification another run as the company has announced the upcoming release of Lotus Humidification Gel Packs.

The new product promises two-way portable humidification that maintains a 70% humidity level and eliminates peaks and valleys in humidity.

The pouches are offered in two sizes, 30 gram ($3.49) and 60 gram ($4.99), and both are available in 12-count and 24-count packages.

If a humidification pouch from Lotus sounds familiar, it’s for good reason, as at the 2016 IPCPR Convention & Trade Show the company showed off the Ciguardian humidification pouch, which was made by Ciguardian Products and distributed by Lotus Group/Integral Logistics.

That product and relationship was short-lived, however, as Lotus Group ended its distribution agreement with Ciguardian Products in Jan. 2017 after less than a year. Additionally, Ciguardian Products has discontinued the pouch, saying at the time that a new version was in the works and due out later in 2017.

Also new from Lotus in the humidification category is the Lotus Humidor Cigar Bag, which can hold up to seven cigars and promises to keep your cigars and tobacco fresh thanks to build in humidification. Each bag features a resealable slide lock closure, and the bag is reusable.

Each bag sells for $0.99 each, and are expected to be available in October.

I strive to capture the essence of a cigar and the people behind them in my work – every cigar you light up is the culmination of the work of countless people and often represents generations of struggle and stories. For me, it’s about so much more than the cigar – it’s about the story behind it, the experience of enjoying the work of artisans and the way that a good cigar can bring people together. In addition to my work with halfwheel, I’m the public address announcer for the Colorado Rockies and Arizona Diamondbacks during spring training, as well as for the Salt River Rafters of the Arizona Fall League, the WNBA's Phoenix Mercury and previously the Arizona Rattlers of the Indoor Football League. I also work in a number of roles for Major League Baseball, plus I'm a voice over artist. Prior to joining halfwheel, I covered the Phoenix and national cigar scene for Examiner.com, and was an editor for Cigar Snob magazine.
