Cigar Federation is set to begin a new chapter. Kyle Hoover and Chris Kelly, owners of Ezra Zion, have announced that they have sold the cigar social and media network to Logan Lawler. The move allows Kelly and Hoover to focus more on their cigar brand and Blessed Leaf, a ministry program the two launched last year.

For Lawler, the move puts ownership in his hands, although he has been managing the site since last year. He serves as the co-host of CigarChat, a weekly video show hosted on the site. In addition, Cigar Federation broadcasts Stogie Geeks, HalfAshed, What Embargo and Sharing our Pairings.

According to a press release, Delaware Cigars will continue be the exclusive online store on Cigar Federation, “under its own brand.” Hoover and Kelly launched the site in 2011.

I am an editor and co-founder of halfwheel.com/Rueda Media, LLC. I previously co-founded and published TheCigarFeed, one of the two predecessors of halfwheel. I have written about the cigar industry for more than a decade, covering everything from product launches to regulation to M&A. In addition, I handle a lot of the behind-the-scenes stuff here at halfwheel. I enjoy playing tennis, watching boxing, falling asleep to the Le Mans 24, wearing sweatshirts year-round and eating gyros. echte liebe.
