The August shipment of Quesada’s España A- is heading to the northwest, as Lit Cigar Lounge in Snoqualmie, Wash. has been confirmed as the latest retailer to get the limited release.

As it has done for the past two-plus years, Quesada has added a new size to its España line that is released to just 12 retailers per year, with each one getting the same amount of boxes. This year, the A- was added as the 11th vitola in the line an 8 1/2 x 48 parejo that gets its name from being just a bit shorter than the standard A vitola, which measures 9 1/4 x 47. For this release, each retailer gets 10 boxes, each containing 10 cigars.

The April boxes were sent to STOGIES World Class Cigars of Houston, Union Cigar Co. of Monroe, N.C. received June’s allotment and Michael’s Tobacco of Euless, Texas got the July release.

I strive to capture the essence of a cigar and the people behind them in my work – every cigar you light up is the culmination of the work of countless people and often represents generations of struggle and stories. For me, it’s about so much more than the cigar – it’s about the story behind it, the experience of enjoying the work of artisans and the way that a good cigar can bring people together. In addition to my work with halfwheel, I’m the public address announcer for the Colorado Rockies and Arizona Diamondbacks during spring training, as well as for the Salt River Rafters of the Arizona Fall League, the WNBA's Phoenix Mercury and previously the Arizona Rattlers of the Indoor Football League. I also work in a number of roles for Major League Baseball, plus I'm a voice over artist. Prior to joining halfwheel, I covered the Phoenix and national cigar scene for Examiner.com, and was an editor for Cigar Snob magazine.
