The Premium Cigar Association has announced that Lisa Sigler has been hired as the organization’s new director of membership development & industry relations

In her new position, Sigler will support the development and growth of the PCA, and will be responsible for assisting with the membership and trade show departments, as well as overall sales initiatives.

“We have gotten to a point where it became clear that running the Association would require another person, someone with a diverse skillset and experience in sales and development,” said Scott Pearce, executive director of the PCA, via a press release. “Lisa comes highly recommended from many in the industry and I feel confident she will make a great addition to the team.”

Sigler has been in the cigar industry for 13 years, starting with La Palina as the company’s office manager and executive assistant. Since then, she has worked as an independent sales representative in the Virginia, Maryland, and Washington, D.C. region, representing Cornelius & Anthony, Casa Cuevas, Gran Habano, JRE Tobacco Company, and NOVA Cigars.

I strive to capture the essence of a cigar and the people behind them in my work – every cigar you light up is the culmination of the work of countless people and often represents generations of struggle and stories. For me, it’s about so much more than the cigar – it’s about the story behind it, the experience of enjoying the work of artisans and the way that a good cigar can bring people together. In addition to my work with halfwheel, I’m the public address announcer for the Colorado Rockies and Arizona Diamondbacks during spring training, as well as for the Salt River Rafters of the Arizona Fall League, the WNBA's Phoenix Mercury and previously the Arizona Rattlers of the Indoor Football League. I also work in a number of roles for Major League Baseball, plus I'm a voice over artist. Prior to joining halfwheel, I covered the Phoenix and national cigar scene for Examiner.com, and was an editor for Cigar Snob magazine.
