La Imperiosa, petit corona, 50-count cabinets; January, maybe February.

Early next year, Crowned Heads will release the La Imperiosa Minutos, a 4 3/8 x 42 version of the company’s popular blend.

It will be limited to 500 cabinets of 50 cigars with a suggested retail price of $6.30 per cigar.

“La Imperiosa Minutos will be our 2016 ‘winter release,’ a la the 2015 Jericho Hill Shots project we released early this year,” said Jon Huber, co-owner of Crowned Heads. “These seasonal releases are a direct response to the need for a quick smoke during the cold winter months. Fans of La Imperiosa will be able to enjoy that same flavor profile in classic Cuban small cigar format.”

While this will be the fifth size for La Imperiosa, it’s actually the ninth size of the blend.

La Imperiosa is based off the Las Calaveras Edición Limitada 2014. It uses an Ecuadorian habano oscuro wrapper over Nicaraguan binder and fillers.

Crowned Heads says the La Imperiosa Minutos will begin shipping in late January or early February.
