Drew Estate has announced that the Liga Privada Único Serie Pancetta, an annual limited edition available only through Wooden Indian Tobacco Shop in Havertown, Pa., and Barrister Cigars in Union, N.J., is returning once again.

The Pancetta is a 4 3/4 x 50 short belicoso that uses the same Connecticut stalk-cut habano wrapper found on Liga Privada T52 over a Brazilian mata fina binder and fillers from Honduras and Nicaragua. sSnce the cigar debuted in 2019, it has been released annually to the two stores.

The cigars are now available for preorder with a price of $14.99 per cigar and $149.99 for a box of 10 cigars. One notable change for this year is a shift to a smaller box quantity; previously, Pancetta had been available in 24-count boxes.

“We are thrilled to bring the Liga Privada Unico Serie Pancetta back to our dedicated patrons at Wooden Indian and Barrister Cigars,” the company wrote in a press release. “This cigar is renowned for its richness and impeccable craftsmanship. The shift to a 10-count box for the Liga Privada Unico Pancetta is fantastic because it means this high-quality cigar is now more accessible. Drew Estate has done a wonderful job with this update, and we’re excited to see our customers’ reactions to this new packaging.”

The cigars will be released on July 27, and will make its debut at the New Jersey Cigar Festival. Production numbers have not been disclosed.

I strive to capture the essence of a cigar and the people behind them in my work – every cigar you light up is the culmination of the work of countless people and often represents generations of struggle and stories. For me, it’s about so much more than the cigar – it’s about the story behind it, the experience of enjoying the work of artisans and the way that a good cigar can bring people together. In addition to my work with halfwheel, I’m the public address announcer for the Colorado Rockies and Arizona Diamondbacks during spring training, as well as for the Salt River Rafters of the Arizona Fall League, the WNBA's Phoenix Mercury, the G-League's Valley Suns, and previously the Arizona Rattlers of the Indoor Football League. I also work in a number of roles for Major League Baseball, plus I'm a voice over artist. Prior to joining halfwheel, I covered the Phoenix and national cigar scene for Examiner.com, and was an editor for Cigar Snob magazine.
