Sancti Spiritus, a hybrid criollo and pelo de oro seed, is the signature tobacco of L’Atelier Imports. The company has used it in a variety of manners across it’s many releases, but for the first time it will be used as wrapper, binder and filler in one cigar.

Fittingly called Identité—the French word for identity—the new line will debut at the 2016 IPCPR Convention & Trade Show, which begins next week in Las Vegas.

While Sancti Spiritus is used throughout the cigar, it’s not a puro of the seed. The wrapper comes from Ecuador, while the binder and fillers are grown by the García family, including some Sancti Spiritus and other tobaccos.

It will be offered in three sizes: 4 7/8 x 50, 5 5/8 x 46 and 5 7/8 x 52. Pricing has not been finalized, but all three sizes will come in boxes of 20.

Pete Johnson of L’Atelier Imports told halfwheel that the 4 7/8 x 50 size has been used an event cigar since June.
