In 2016, Dr. Stefan Lampert launched his own cigar company with an idea called My Cigar Lab; now, his cigars are making their U.S. debut.

Specifically, the new Lampert 1675 Edición AZUL began shipping to stores last week. It’s a new line produced at AgroIndustrial Nicaraguense de Tabacos S.A. in Condega, Nicaragua. It uses an Ecuadorian wrapper over a Nicaragua binder and fillers from Condega and Jalapa, Nicaragua as well as Peruvian ligero. The line was blended by Indiana Ortez, who recently became the general manager of Mombacho Cigars S.A. in Granada.

  • Lampert 1675 Edición AZUL Short Robusto (3 3/4 x 52) — $8 (Box of 20, $160)
  • Lampert 1675 Edición AZUL Robusto (5 x 50) — $10 (Box of 20, $200)
  • Lampert 1675 Edición AZUL Toro (6 x 52) — $12 (Box of 20, $240)

Lampert is being distributed by The Bespoke Company, the company behind Casdagli.

The company has one other line—Ocean Breeze made at Tabacos de Costa Rica S.A.—and its website teases an upcoming line called Lampert 1593. It’s unclear if either of those releases will be offered in the U.S.
