There will be a new robusto extra size in the La Gloria Cubana line.

At this week’s Festival del Habano XXIII, Habanos S.A. showed off the new La Gloria Cubana Turquinos, a 5 6/11 (141mm) x 50 parejo size known as the gordito. This vitola has been used for dozens of previous Cuban cigars, it is probably best known as the vitola of the Hoyo de Monterrey Epicure Especial.

Habanos S.A. says the Turquinos will be offered in 10-count boxes. Given how it’s described, it is likely to be a regular production offering. Pricing and a release date remain unknown.
