The newest Dominican-made La Gloria Cubana will head to stores next week.

Next Monday, Aug. 1, the La Gloria Cubana Serie S will ship to stores. It uses a Mexican San Andrés wrapper over a Nicaraguan binder and fillers from the Dominican Republic and Nicaragua. Like most La Gloria Cubana cigars, it is made at General Cigar Dominicana in Santiago de los Caballeros, Dominican Republic. It is offered in three sizes:

  • La Gloria Cubana Serie S Robusto Gordo (5 1/2 x 56) — $7.99 (Box of 24, $191.76)
  • La Gloria Cubana Serie S Gigante (6 x 60) — $8.49 (Box of 24, $203.76)
  • La Gloria Cubana Serie S Presidente (7 x 56) — $8.99 (Box of 24, $215.76)

“Serie S combines large-ring formats, expert blending and fine craftsmanship in a medium-to-full-bodied smoke,” said Steve Abbot, director of marketing for La Gloria Cubana, in a press release when the cigar was announced last month. “We believe this new collection will be a well-received addition to the brand portfolio.”

In the original announcement, the La Gloria Cubana Serie S was listed as a mid-July release. No reason has been given for its delay.

La Gloria Cubana is distributed by Forged Cigar Co.
