At this year’s 2022 PCA Convention & Trade Show, La Flor Dominicana will debut a follow-up cigar to the La Nox.

Update (June 27, 2022) — La Flor Dominicana has confirmed the name is “Solis” and not “Soleil” like originally listed in this story.

It’s called the La Flor Dominicana Solis and Gomez described it as “the opposite” of La Nox when he announced the cigar during a recent episode of the Smokin’ Tabacco podcast.

“That blend was something that my other son, Litto Gomez Jr., created,” said Gomez. Litto Gomez Jr. is Litto’s youngest son. Interestingly, La Nox—which was released in 2015—was blended by Litto’s middle son, Tony Gomez. Nothing else was said about the cigar such as its blend, size or pricing, and Jon Carney, vp of sales for La Flor Dominicana, declined to comment on any other details about the cigar.

During the episode, Gomez mentioned other plans for launches including the release of a new Litto Gomez Small Batch cigar, which he said would be out later in the year and would be limited. Once again, no details were given about the size, blend or pricing.

In addition, he mentioned that the Litto Gomez Diez line would be returning to the market. That line was introduced in 2003 and was sold through 2015. It is a blend of Dominican tobaccos that are grown by La Flor Dominicana at its farm in La Canela. It was a limited production line that was offered in a variety of shapes and sizes. Earlier this week, the Litto Gomez Diez Lusitano, a 6 x 52 toro, went on sale as part of a sampler included at the company’s Tour del Mundo events which kicked off on Tuesday.

The 2022 PCA Convention & Trade Show takes place July 9-12 in Las Vegas.
