The La Flor Dominicana TAA 47 is on its way to retailers.

Jon Carney, vp of sales for LFD, informed halfwheel that the cigar began shipping today. The cigar is created as an exclusive to members of the Tobacconists’ Association of America (TAA), a collection of about 80 retailers, who meet once per year to discuss issues facing their business and the larger cigar business, as well as to have a trade show.

In recent years, company’s have created exclusives for the retailers. La Flor Dominicana took it a step further by allowing the members to vote on one of three cigars that would become the TAA 47. In the end a 5 1/2 x 52 robusto extra was chosen. It uses an Ecuadorian habano wrapper, Nicaraguan binder and filler tobaccos from the Dominican Republic and Nicaragua.
