La Flor Dominicana will be celebrating Independence Day this year with a new double figurado that will be released through Jack Schwartz Importer as part of the company’s ongoing Gourmet Smoke Sessions series.

The cigar measures 7 inches long with a 55 ring gauge at its fattest point, and uses an Ecuadorian habano wrapper with a Dominican binder and filler. The wrapper leaf features a design that uses Connecticut shade tobacco for the stars and Ecuadorian habano maduro tobacco for the stripes.

The La Flor Dominicana Independence Day 2021 will go on sale on June 9, with an MSRP of $20 per cigar. It will also be offered in packs of five cigars. Production numbers have not been disclosed.

As with other Gourmet Smoke Sessions, there is a food and cooking aspect to the cigar’s launch, as Miami meat purveyor Meat N’ Bone has developed a chef-curated meal which will be prepared with instruction during a July 4 live session by Jon Carney, La Flor Dominicana’s vp of sales and one of the creators of Hacking Gourmet.

The featured meal will be sold by and will ship nationwide through Meat N’ Bone, arriving in temperature stable packaging with all necessary ingredients included to participate along during the live session or for guests to prepare at their leisure.
