La Flor Dominicana has announced a formal program that allows people to visit the company’s Dominican tobacco growing and cigar rolling operation.

The La Flor Dominicana Experience is a four-day trip day where guests spend three days in Santiago and one day at the beach of Puerto Plata.

Each trip is hosted in coordination with a retailer who assembles a group between 10-15 people for the tour.

It’s divided up into five parts:

  • Day 1: Arrive in Santiago, welcome dinner.
  • Day 2: Factory Tour
  • Day 3: Farm Tour + Pig Roast
  • Day 4: Puerto Plata
  • Day 5: Return Home

La Flor Dominicana is expected to offer these tours from November to May, coinciding with the tobacco growing season.

The company has not announced pricing, stating that it changes depending on costs during the season. Interested retailers are asked to contact the company’s office for more information or to arrange a tour.

La Flor joins a few other formal multi-day tour programs. Drew Estate’s Cigar Safari is the most prominent cigar tour, though others like A.J. Fernández, Perdomo and Rocky Patel Premium Cigars offer similar programs.
