Kristoff will be adding a new core line at this year’s IPCPR Convention & Trade Show, the Kristoff Shade Grown.

Glen Case told halfwheel that the new line features a shade grown, Honduran Connecticut-seed wrapper that sits atop a Dominican binder and fillers from Nicaragua and the Dominican Republic, a blend he described as being in the mild to medium range.

It is being released in three sizes, all being produced at the Charles Fairmorn Factory in the Dominican Republic:

  • Kristoff Shade Grown Robusto (5 1/2 x 54) — $7.90 (Boxes of 20, $158)
  • Kristoff Shade Grown Churchill (7 x 50) — $8 (Boxes of 20, $160)
  • Kristoff Shade Grown Matador (6 1/2 x 56) — $8.90 (Boxes of 20, $178)

Case said he expects the line to begin shipping in June.

Box counts were added to this story shortly after it was published.

Davidoff is the official sponsor of halfwheel's coverage of the 2019 IPCPR Convention & Trade Show.

I strive to capture the essence of a cigar and the people behind them in my work – every cigar you light up is the culmination of the work of countless people and often represents generations of struggle and stories. For me, it’s about so much more than the cigar – it’s about the story behind it, the experience of enjoying the work of artisans and the way that a good cigar can bring people together. In addition to my work with halfwheel, I’m the public address announcer for the Colorado Rockies and Arizona Diamondbacks during spring training, as well as for the Salt River Rafters of the Arizona Fall League, the WNBA's Phoenix Mercury and previously the Arizona Rattlers of the Indoor Football League. I also work in a number of roles for MLB.com, plus I'm a voice over artist. Prior to joining halfwheel, I covered the Phoenix and national cigar scene for Examiner.com, and was an editor for Cigar Snob magazine.
