With the colder months approaching, Kafie 1901 Cigars has announced plans for a pair of new cigars designed to be enjoyed within about 20 minutes, the Kafie 1901 Señoritas.

Building off of the Kafie 1901 Cigarillos, the Señoritas are a bit thicker; while the Cigarillos are 4 x 22 vitolas, the Señoritas measure 4 x 30. There will be still be two blends offered, one of which uses an Ecuadorian habano natural wrapper, and the other using an Ecuadorian habano maduro wrapper. Like the Cigarillos, both have a mix of medium and long fillers from Nicaragua and Honduras, are offered in 50-count boxes, and are produced at the company’s factory in Danlí, Honduras.

The company is planning to open up sales of the cigars to retailers, distributors and wholesalers worldwide on Nov. 1, with a shipping date still to be confirmed. Pricing has been set at $79.99 per box, which works out to about $1.60 per cigar.

I strive to capture the essence of a cigar and the people behind them in my work – every cigar you light up is the culmination of the work of countless people and often represents generations of struggle and stories. For me, it’s about so much more than the cigar – it’s about the story behind it, the experience of enjoying the work of artisans and the way that a good cigar can bring people together. In addition to my work with halfwheel, I’m the public address announcer for the Colorado Rockies and Arizona Diamondbacks during spring training, as well as for the Salt River Rafters of the Arizona Fall League, the WNBA's Phoenix Mercury and the Arizona Rattlers of the Indoor Football League. I also work in a number of roles for MLB.com, plus I'm a voice over artist. I previously covered the Phoenix and national cigar scene for Examiner.com, and was an editor for Cigar Snob magazine.
