Joya de Nicaragua’s 2018 TAA release is heading to stores.

Last week, the company has begun shipping the Joya de Nicaragua Antaño Gran Reserva Presidente, a 6 3/4 x 50 toro extra. It’s the company’s exclusive release for retail members of the Tobacconists’ Association of America (TAA).

The TAA is a fairly small group of some of the country’s top tobacconists, about 80 retailers as well as 40 or so manufacturers. The association gathers annually to discuss issues facing the industry and retailers, as well as to have its annual trade show, a unique event that works on a group buying format in order to secure exclusive deals for these generally high-volume merchants.

Joya de Nicaragua was one of nearly 20 manufacturers who created exclusive releases for the organization this year as part of its Exclusive Series Program (ESP).

The Antaño Gran Reserva is a milder version of the company’s popular Antaño line. It’s a Nicaraguan puro with a corojo oscuro wrapper.

Pricing is set at $12.50 and it is sold in boxes of 20.

Joya de Nicaragua is distributed in the U.S. by Drew Estate.
