Joe Gro has joined Quality Importers Trading Co. as the company’s director of marketing and communications.

The move comes shortly after Gro announced that he would leave Drew Estate, where he served as the senior digital marketing manager. As part of his new role, Gro will manage the marketing and media strategies for Quality Importers’ portfolio of brands, which includes XIKAR, Cigar Caddy, Humidor Supreme, Hydra, Palió, Stinky and others.

“Joe has showcased tremendous innovation in the premium cigar space, and we are excited to have him join our experienced team of industry professionals,” said Michael Giordano, ceo and founder of Quality Importers, in a press release. “We are working hard to continue growing the QI family of brands while delivering world class service to our customers, and he will be instrumental in continuing our mission.”

Gro will report to Michael Giannini, the company’s chief of customer engagement who was hired earlier this summer.
