Jimmy Miúdo Joins Quality Importers

Jimmy Miúdo will now be designing products for XIKAR.

Quality Importers—the parent company of XIKAR, Palió and a host of other brands—has announced that it has hired Miúdo as its vp of product design and marketing.

Miúdo most recently worked as the creative director and marketing director for Colibri.

“I am genuinely thrilled to become a member of the Quality Importers team and energized by the dynamic and progressive culture that runs throughout the organization and the company (Michael) Giordano has created,” said Miúdo in a press release. “With innovative design and amplified messaging, we plan to expand the reach of the company’s family of market-leading brands and strengthen the bond that our end-users enjoy with our products.”

He will report to Michael Cellucci, Quality Importers’ president.

“The company’s leadership team has a track record of building and re-building successful businesses,” said Cellucci. “Jimmy’s ability to create excitement in the marketplace with fresh design and engaging innovation will help us augment the strong positive momentum our team has created for our brands.”

During his tenures at Colibri and S.T.Dupont both companies have introduced a variety of signature products, the most recent is Colibri’s expanding portfolio of Quasar accessories, which Miúdo said was inspired by a pattern found on a vintage Colibri lighter.

To steer our growth, we will continue to expand our competencies throughout all the disciplines of our organization to ensure that we always deliver world-class products and services to our business partners,” said Giordano, the company’s ceo. “Our current portfolio now encompasses nearly the entire spectrum of cigar accessories. We plan to further advance our position as the most important and comprehensive source of cigar and smoking accessories worldwide.”

This is the second key hire Quality Importers has made of an individual from Colibri. In June, the company hired Les Mann to oversee its salesforce. Mann and Miúdo have worked together for nearly two decades at both Colibri and S.T.Dupont.
