There’s a new New World coming.

At next week’s IPCPR Convention & Trade Show, A.J. Fernández Cigar Co. will show off the New World Puro Especial, a follow-up to the company’s popular New World line. It is a Nicaraguan puro with tobacco aged three to five years.

It will be offered in three sizes.

  • New World Puro Especial Short Churchill (6 x 48) — $8 (Box of 20, $160)
  • New World Puro Especial Robusto (5 1/2 x 52) — $8.50 (Boxes of 20, $170)
  • New World Puro Especial Toro (6 1/2 x 52) — $9 (Boxes of 20, $180)

“This is how my father and I created this special blend,” said Abdel Fernández, the company’s founder, in a press release. “I am going to go more in depth than I ever have when discussing one of my blends. We used our San Diego farm because of its incredible minerals. Our La Soledad farm yields tobacco with incredible flavors. La Providencia’s tobacco contributed the amazing aroma. Finally, our San Jose farm provided the blend with a rich and beautiful wrapper, due to the Criollo 98 seed I planted there many years ago.”

The New World Puro Especial will begin shipping on July 11, the first day of the 2017 IPCPR Convention & Trade Show.
