Isabela Cigars has released The Mammoth, a new line arriving at stores that is geared towards fans of big ring gauges.

The Mammoth features a barber pole wrapper design, using an Ecuadorian desflorada Connecticut leaf and an aged Nicaraguan habano prieto leaf. The binder and filler are both Nicaraguan, and while the company didn’t disclose specifics, said that they feature multiple varietals of tobaccos from the country, which have been aged for different lengths. “By far one of the most difficult blends ever created, the Mammoths are bursting with multiple transitions of ever-changing flavor profiles, the signature identity that Isabela is known for,” the company wrote in a press release.

The cigar is being released in two sizes, a 7 x 70 priced at $13.95 and an 8 x 80 priced at $14.95, both of which are being offered in boxes of 25 cigars. The company produced just 100 boxes of each size, which are available through its retailers as well as the company’s online store.

I strive to capture the essence of a cigar and the people behind them in my work – every cigar you light up is the culmination of the work of countless people and often represents generations of struggle and stories. For me, it’s about so much more than the cigar – it’s about the story behind it, the experience of enjoying the work of artisans and the way that a good cigar can bring people together. In addition to my work with halfwheel, I’m the public address announcer for the Colorado Rockies and Arizona Diamondbacks during spring training, as well as for the Salt River Rafters of the Arizona Fall League, the WNBA's Phoenix Mercury and previously the Arizona Rattlers of the Indoor Football League. I also work in a number of roles for Major League Baseball, plus I'm a voice over artist. Prior to joining halfwheel, I covered the Phoenix and national cigar scene for Examiner.com, and was an editor for Cigar Snob magazine.
