As part of the modernization efforts for the IPCPR Convention & Trade Show, the International Premium Cigar & Pipe Retailers’ Association (IPCPR) has added lunchtime seminars to help educate their retailers.
On July 25, Juan Pablo González will host the first of these seminars. González is a partner at Axiom Consulting Partners. His speciality is helping businesses streamline their operations.
The following day, three cigar manufacturers will take the stage to presumably talk about a wide range of issues. Carlos “Carlito” Fuente Jr. of Arturo Fuente, Pete Johnson of Tatuaje/L’Atelier Imports and Rocky Patel are the featured guests.
Finally, on Wednesday July 27, four of the country’s more prominent retailers will take part in a conversation hosted by Michael Herklots, vp of retail and brand development at Nat Sherman, will host the panel. It includes John Anderson of W. Curtis Draper/Civil Cigar Lounge, Abe Dababneh of Smoke Inn and Dave Garofalo of Two Guys Smoke Shop.
The first panel will take place from 1-2 p.m., while the following two seminars run from 12:30-1:30 p.m.
Seminars have been added to help increase the value of the trade show to retail attendees. They join the IPCPR Cigar Bash, a Wednesday evening concert with Eddie Money, as part of the organization’s first major moves to help increase trade show attendance. The Cigar Bash concert is now in its second year.
Each seminar will take place in the back of the trade show floor.
The 2016 IPCPR Convention & Trade Show will begin July 25 in Las Vegas.
