RoMa Craft Tobac was the first booth I hit on day one, as they get so busy throughout the show it’s sometimes hard to get the time to do our interviews.

A similar layout to the previous years, the RoMa Craft cigars were displayed in the center, with the Nica Sueño family of brands represented on their own displays within the same booth. The Wicked Anvil side table ashtrays were back, along with the cool photo wall that was new last year. Despite the fact that it was still the PAC early access time, people had already started to flow into the booth by the time I wrapped up, so it was good that I got to them when I did.

Baka is RoMa Craft’s new blend this year that features a Cameroon wrapper. The Baka are an ethnic group of people that live in the southeastern rain forests of Cameroon, which is where the tie in to the name and wrapper comes together. For 2019, only two of the seven planned sizes will be released – the Pygmy and the Bantu.

Brian Burt

I have been smoking cigars since 2005 and reviewing them as a hobby since 2010. Initially, I started out small with a 50-count humidor and only smoking one or two cigars a month. Not knowing anybody else that smoked cigars, it was only an occasional hobby that I took part in. In March of 2010, I joined Nublive and Cigar Asylum, connecting me with many people who also shared an interest in cigars. Reading what they had to say about brands I had never heard of, I quickly immersed myself in the boutique brands of the industry and it was then that cigars transformed from a hobby into a passion.
