IPCPR 2019: JetLine

Null

While the JetLine booth may not quite reach accessory overload status, it does come pretty close. The company features a number of new products at the corners of the booth, with display cases along the edges filled with trays that allow the company’s staff to easily pull them all out in one tray, with the full portfolio of products available as well.

This year, the company added a number of new products that were a mix of extensions to existing lighters as well as some new options and updates to their staple lines. David St. James, the Las Vegas-based sales representative for the company gave us a tour of all the new items available at this year’s show, which will begin shipping in the coming weeks as shipments arrive from the factory.

JetLine R-100

In January, JetLine released the R-200, a long, slender dual-flame torch lighter. Now, the company is releasing a single flame version, the aptly named R-100. It features a push-up ignition, large flame adjustment wheel and transparent fuel window, and is available in red, black, or gray.

JetLine Quatro

The look is familiar, but as the name implies, the Quatro packs four jets under the lid. The large fuel tank is available in four color options: clear, smoke gray, amber or green.

JetLine Mongoose Single Flame

The Mongoose debuted last year as a triple flame torch, but now there is a single flame option, though of note the two models are priced the exact same. The flame moves to one side of the lighter as opposed to being in the middle, while the side squeeze ignition and visible fuel tank remain. It’s available in back, red or silver.

JetLine Pocket Torch (2019)

The company updated the internals of its popular Pocket Torch line, as well as removed the latch that held the lid in place while lengthening the top portion of the lighter’s body. It’s available in clear, smoke gray, amber or green, as well as in single, double and triple flame options, all with the same MSRP.

JetLine Avalanche

The Avalanche is billed as a table lighter, though could certainly be portable as it measures 3.94 inches tall, 2.17 inches wide and 1.06 inches thick. The ignition is unique, featuring a push-up mechanism instead of a pull-down button, while the bottom of the lighter holds a flip-out punch cutter and a pull-out tab used to adjust the flame, which the company says changes color while burning. It’s available in four colors: copper, chrome, red and gunmetal.

JetLine Jetmaster

JetLine has found a winning design with the large, clear fuel tank, and the Jetmaster gives a slightly different spin on that format. It’s pocket-friendly and budget-friendly, offered as a single flame torch with a single action ignition lighter with a large, clear fuel tank. The top half is available in either black, red, chrome or gunmetal.

JetLine Bugle Master

The Bugle Master is an extension to the company’s existing single-flame Bugle, a high-powered single torch lighter with a curved lid that doubles as a cigar rest. The Bugle Master retains the lid but ups the firepower to four torches. It comes with an oversized flame adjustment wheel on the bottom, while changing the ignition to a side-squeeze model. It is available in red, yellow or black.

MSRP: $49.99

Release Date: July/August 2019

JetLine Pipe Pro

With its soft flame, the Pipe Pro is geared towards pipe smokers but could also be used by those who favor cigars, or go between the two and want a single lighter. The lighter’s biggest selling point is that its top can be used as a tamper, while the clear fuel tank makes it easy to see how much butane is left in the tank. It is available in blue, amber, clear and green, each priced at $12.99.

MSRP: $12.99

I strive to capture the essence of a cigar and the people behind them in my work – every cigar you light up is the culmination of the work of countless people and often represents generations of struggle and stories. For me, it’s about so much more than the cigar – it’s about the story behind it, the experience of enjoying the work of artisans and the way that a good cigar can bring people together. In addition to my work with halfwheel, I’m the public address announcer for the Colorado Rockies and Arizona Diamondbacks during spring training, as well as for the Salt River Rafters of the Arizona Fall League, the WNBA's Phoenix Mercury and the Arizona Rattlers of the Indoor Football League. I also work in a number of roles for MLB.com, plus I'm a voice over artist. I previously covered the Phoenix and national cigar scene for Examiner.com, and was an editor for Cigar Snob magazine.
