IPCPR 2019: Daniel Marshall

For a number of reasons, I wanted to visit the Daniel Marshall booth this year. I always enjoy talking with Marshall, but this year, the products—specifically the first one mentioned below—really excited me. While it’s never a large booth, there’s always something different going on at the Daniel Marshall booth and 2019 was no different.

Taking his tagline of “modern day campfire” to a logical conclusion, Daniel Marshall had an actual campfire set up at his booth. Two rather comfortable rocking chairs, a faux campfire and even some marshmallows. The view wasn’t the most relaxing of campfires though it was a great way to start at the Crowned Heads booth.

Daniel Marshall “Since 1982” Humidity Stabilizers

Before last year’s IPCPR Convention & Trade Show, Marshall told me he planned on introducing a new humidification system for his humidifiers, which is truly one of the only complaints I have about the Daniel Marshall humidors. A year later, the new system is here. It’s a small, what appears to be wick-based product that I imagine is treated with PG solution. Marshall says these will be available for anyone who has purchased a humidor in the past year, free of charge, and he plans on offering them to all customers for free, so long as they pay for shipping, which can’t be much given these are quite small.

Daniel Marshall “Color of Money” Humidor Collection

Made in collaboration with Josh Leidolf, also known as TRAN$PARENT, who is an artist who makes art that is designed to depict money. This is limited to 100 humidors, which are a 125-count humidor with a tray, that are signed by Leidolf. Given the positioning of the humidor in the booth, it’s a bit challenging to depict in the photograph, but it’s got a lot of images of the $100 overlayed on top of one another.
