After showing off three brand new cigars at last year’s IPCPR Convention & Trade Show, things are a quite a bit less frantic for Crux Cigars in terms of new releases this year, as the company introduced no new lines. However, that does not mean there are no changes for Crux Cigars; in fact, nothing could be further from the truth.

This year, the changes for Crux Cigars were not with new blends or cigars, but the entire look of its identity, its logo and its products. The company has undergone an almost top to bottom rebrand, with new packaging, bands and even an entirely new booth that took a Best In Show from the IPCPR for a medium-sized exhibitor.

New Packaging

Crux Cigars says the blends and vitolas will remain the same, but the new packaging should begin appearing in stores in late Q3 of 2019.

I have been smoking cigars for over eight years. A documentary wedding photographer by trade, I spent seven years as a photojournalist for the Dallas Morning News and the Fort Worth Star Telegram. I started the cigar blog SmokingStogie in 2008 after realizing that there was a need for a cigar blog with better photographs and more in-depth information about each release. SmokingStogie quickly became one of the more influential cigar blogs on the internet, known for reviewing preproduction, prerelease, rare, extremely hard-to-find and expensive cigars. I am a co-founder of halfwheel and now serve as an editor for halfwheel.
