Caoba is a brand that has been in business in the Dominican Republic since 1992, but has previously not had a focus on sales within the United States.
That all changed when Adam Zuber, who had frequented the DR and fell in love with these cigars, convinced the company to allow him to start a distribution company dedicated to bringing these cigars to America. While its booth was towards the back of the show floor, it was right off the aisle our bunker was on, so I got to first hand see the decent amount of traffic they were getting daily. This was even more evident as by the time I visited their booth, most boxes were so low on cigars I had to shoot photos of singles instead of a full box. While most of the cigars they are offering are not new to them, it is the first time they have been offered for sale in the U.S.
