IPCPR 2019 Brizard & Co.

Null

As mentioned last year, Brizard & Co. has been around for a while, but this is only the second year that we’ve covered its trade show booth.

While Brizard had the same booth pieces, they were arranged differently in a layout that offered a little more focus on the product displays and a nice, open layout. Though the location was off to the side of the show and perhaps what you might not call ideal, it was actually a nice respite from the hustle and bustle of the busy aisles. The placement didn’t seem to be a problem however, as owner Cyril Brizard was almost constantly chatting with retailers who were stopping by. I did get a chance to chat with him for a few minutes, and while there were new products on display, Brizard wanted to talk a little bit about why he got into making high end, luxury cigar accessories.

Brizard & Co. V Cutter with Pouch

The only new product that wasn’t a humidor at the show was its new v-cutter. As with most of Brizard accessories, it comes in a wide range of finishes; the one pictured above is from the Croco/Lizard Collection in Tobacco.

  • V Cutter with Pouch (Croco/Lizard Collection in Black, Tobacco, Havana, or Indigo) — $99
  • V Cutter with Pouch (Dakota Collection in Black, Chocolate, or Tan) — $99
  • V Cutter with Pouch (Genuine Collection in Stingray, Caiman, or Ostrich) — $130
  • V Cutter with Pouch (Racing Collection in Red, Yellow, or Orange) — $99
  • V Cutter with Pouch (Antique Saddle) — $99

Brizard & Co. La Casita de Puros Humidor

Perhaps one of my favorite accessories I saw is the La Casita de Puros, translated The Small Cigar House, is a very small and very nice looking humidor. In the most respectful way possible, it’s adorable. It’s the perfect size to fit a variety of your favorite petit coronas, petit robustos, petit figurados—well, essentially all of your small cigars.

Like all Brizard humidors, the humidification holder is meant to house a humidification packet such as a Boveda pack and is attached by magnets to a hidden plate in the lid, allowing you to easily remove it to replace the pack.  The one pictured above is the Croco/Lizard Collection in black and will retail for $400, with a premium added for the Genuine Collection and the exotic woods options.

  • Modern Series Humidor 30-40 Count — $650
  • Modern Series Humidor 60-70 Count — $850

Brizard & Co. Chest Humidor

About the author

I have been smoking cigars since 2005 and reviewing them as a hobby since 2010. Initially I started out small with a 50-count humidor and only smoking one or two cigars a month. Not knowing anybody else that smoked cigars, it was only an occasional hobby that I took part in. In March of 2010 I joined Nublive and Cigar Asylum, connecting me with many people who also shared an interest in cigars. Reading what they had to say about brands I had never heard of, I quickly immersed myself in the boutique brands of the industry and it was then that cigars transformed from a hobby into a passion. Besides my cigar hobby and job in the IT industry, my wife and I love traveling, trying new restaurants and relaxing at home with our two dogs.
