I got a chance to drop by Blue Mountain Cigars, and in addition to a new cigar, it had a putting green setup as well.

Even though it was the last day and they were moments from packing up the booth, there were still people dropping by to talk to them. I had a chance to catch them before they were gone and get the run down on their new cigar.

The Golfer

The size and theme of this cigar is certainly geared towards golfers, in case it wasn’t obvious by the name. It will come in boxes for cigar stores, but also single sealed humidified packs that can be sold at golf courses without the need for a full humidor setup. It will come in both a Habano and Connecticut wrapper which are priced the same.

  • Wrapper: Nicaragua (Habano/Connecticut)
  • Binder: Nicaragua
  • Filler: Nicaragua
  • The Golfer Gordo (6 x 60) — $12 (Box of 20, $240)
  • The Golfer Toro (6 x 52) — $11 (Box of 20, $220)

I have been smoking cigars since 2005 and reviewing them as a hobby since 2010. Initially, I started out small with a 50-count humidor and only smoking one or two cigars a month. Not knowing anybody else that smoked cigars, it was only an occasional hobby that I took part in. In March of 2010, I joined Nublive and Cigar Asylum, connecting me with many people who also shared an interest in cigars. Reading what they had to say about brands I had never heard of, I quickly immersed myself in the boutique brands of the industry and it was then that cigars transformed from a hobby into a passion.
