In order to determine if Arturo Fuente has anything new, you have to close. Even then, it’s very easy to miss items and oftentimes just because there’s something on display that doesn’t mean it is actually going to be offered for sale.

This will be the last year of this version of the Arturo Fuente/J.C. Newman booth, the first time the company gets a new booth in nearly two decades. I’m curious to see what comes of the next generation booth and hopeful it is easier to photograph cigars next year.

25 Plus 5

For those familiar with how Arturo Fuente exhibits at the trade show, 2019 is very much the same. Retailers who purchase 25 boxes of regular production boxes are entitled to purchase five boxes of special cigars.

The 2019 list includes no new cigars, though two new items:

Arturo Fuente Big Papo Collection (2019)

The Big Papo Collection is back for 2019 and with new cigars, though not the ones you see in the picture. The new version is nearly identical to the 2016 sampler except the Añejo 49 has been replaced by the Fuente Fuente OpusX ForbiddenX 13 Torchbearer.

That means the 10-cigar sampler contains two of the following:

  • Fuente Fuente OpusX A (9 1/4 x 47)
  • Arturo Fuente Hemingway Masterpiece (9 x 52)
  • Arturo Fuente Hemingway Masterpiece Maduro (9 x 52)
  • Fuente Fuente OpusX ForbiddenX 13 Torchbearer (7 5/8 x 49)
  • Fuente Fuente OpusX Angel’s Share Reserva D’Chateau (7 x 48)

These should ship soon, though the company isn’t going to commit to a date.

Fuente Fuente OpusX Angel’s Share Tins

There are three size of Angel’s Share that will be offered in three-count tins. For those that are completely new to the OpusX tins, the 1992 date written on the tins is not a reference to how old these cigars are, rather, that’s when Fuente started the original OpusX project.

Those three sizes are:

  • Fuente Fuente OpusX Angel’s Share Robusto (5 1/4 x 50)
  • Fuente Fuente OpusX Angel’s Share Perfecxion X (6 1/4 x 48)
  • Fuente Fuente OpusX Angel’s Share Reserva D’Chateau (7 x 48)
