The biggest news coming out of the Alec Bradley booth this year may very well be the return of Lars Tetens to the cigar industry by way of a partnership with Alan Rubin, but that doesn’t mean that the company doesn’t have anything of its own. There’s the sophomore cigar from Alec & Bradley Rubin, plus a new size in one line, but for the most part if felt like a fairly tame year in terms of new releases.

The booth has an open floor plan with the cigars displayed along one wall, a reception desk of sorts along the opposite wall, and plenty of seating in the middle. If anything, the most interesting portion of the booth was the one dedicated to Lars Tetens, a separated space complete with velvet ropes and a bouncer, but that will be featured in another post.

Alec & Bradley Gatekeeper
The second release from Alec & Bradley Rubin sees them team up with Ernesto Perez-Carrillo Jr. to make the cigar at his Tabacalera La Alianza factory in the Dominican Republic. It’s the second year for the brothers at the show with their own cigar, joining 2018’s Blind Faith.

Black Market Estelí was originally released in Oct. 2017.

I strive to capture the essence of a cigar and the people behind them in my work – every cigar you light up is the culmination of the work of countless people and often represents generations of struggle and stories. For me, it’s about so much more than the cigar – it’s about the story behind it, the experience of enjoying the work of artisans and the way that a good cigar can bring people together. In addition to my work with halfwheel, I’m the public address announcer for the Colorado Rockies and Arizona Diamondbacks during spring training, as well as for the Salt River Rafters of the Arizona Fall League, the WNBA's Phoenix Mercury and previously the Arizona Rattlers of the Indoor Football League. I also work in a number of roles for Major League Baseball, plus I'm a voice over artist. Prior to joining halfwheel, I covered the Phoenix and national cigar scene for Examiner.com, and was an editor for Cigar Snob magazine.
