After introducing 10 new lines and discontinuing four others at last year’s IPCPR Convention & Trade Show, E.P. Carrillo is keeping it a bit more low key this year, launching just one brand and showing off another that will not be shipped until 2018.

Elenco

A line that was first released in 2011, the Elenco is being released in the same three vitolas and is composed of a Brazilian wrapper covering a binder from Ecuador and filler tobaccos from Nicaragua. All three vitolas are packaged in boxes of 20 and should be shipping to retailers in mid-October.

  • Wrapper: Brazil
  • Binder: Ecuador
  • Filler: Nicaragua
  • Elencos Don Rubino (5 1/4 x 50) — $8.25 (Boxes of 20, $165)

I have been smoking cigars for over eight years. A documentary wedding photographer by trade, I spent seven years as a photojournalist for the Dallas Morning News and the Fort Worth Star Telegram. I started the cigar blog SmokingStogie in 2008 after realizing that there was a need for a cigar blog with better photographs and more in-depth information about each release. SmokingStogie quickly became one of the more influential cigar blogs on the internet, known for reviewing preproduction, prerelease, rare, extremely hard-to-find and expensive cigars. I am a co-founder of halfwheel and now serve as an editor for halfwheel.
