Paul Garmirian was celebrating the 25th anniversary of being in the business.

Paul and his son Kevork were at their booth, with a video playing in the background that featured photos of the old RTDA trade show and old school Las Vegas that was put together to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the brand. While they only had one new cigar to show off, they did have the full array of vintage offerings that they have available in limited quantities.

The Paul Garmirian 25th Anniversary Short Robusto was their brand new offering, one of the releases they’ve done to celebrate their anniversary. Kevork did mention that while 5,000 total cigars were made, only about 3,000 were boxed and offered for sale at the moment. They were produced at the Occidental Cigar Factory. The blend isn’t released, but it is the same blend as the Connoisseur that was launched at the end of last year.

I have been smoking cigars since 2005 and reviewing them as a hobby since 2010. Initially, I started out small with a 50-count humidor and only smoking one or two cigars a month. Not knowing anybody else that smoked cigars, it was only an occasional hobby that I took part in. In March of 2010, I joined Nublive and Cigar Asylum, connecting me with many people who also shared an interest in cigars. Reading what they had to say about brands I had never heard of, I quickly immersed myself in the boutique brands of the industry and it was then that cigars transformed from a hobby into a passion.
