A staple at the IPCPR Convention & Trade Show every year, Padilla Cigars did not disappoint this year, showing off the return of one of its highest rated cigars as a regular production release, as well as three new blends.

Padilla 1932 Oscuro

Padilla 1932 Oscuro

Originally released in 2007, the 1932 Oscuro is back as a regular production in six vitolas. The blend remains a Nicaraguan puro that includes a high-priming wrapper along with filler tobaccos from AGANORSA and is being produced at Raíces Cubanas in Honduras.

Another new blend from Padilla this year was the Padilla Anniversary, a cigar commemorating the company’s years in business since 2003. The six-vitola release incorporates all Nicaraguan tobacco and is considered a regular release, although only about 100 10-count boxes amongst the various sizes will be produced per month.

One of two new blends for Padilla at the show was the Cava Maduro, which uses the same internal blend of the original Cava, but replaces the Ecuadorian habano wrapper with a Mexican San Andrés leaf. Two vitolas are being sold in 16-count boxes, while three more are packaged in 20-count boxes, and all five size are being produced at Raíces Cubanas in Honduras.

There was also a new cigar incorporating a Connecticut wrapper, appropriately named the Padilla Connecticut. Available in four different vitolas, the blend includes an Ecuadorian Connecticut wrapper covering a Nicaraguan binder and Nicaraguan filler tobaccos from AGANORSA. The new cigar is packaged in 20-count boxes and is being produced at Raíces Cubanas in Honduras.
