Valentía Cigars was founded in 2013, and it’s easy to find some understanding in the young company just two years later. Valentía is trying, but you still can’t help but feel a bit of passion for the little guy. Furthermore, Valentía seems willing to try new things in order to help position the brand.
For starters, the company is focusing on specific markets, like the Northeast. It’s also partnered with the Ferrari Owners Club of America to have its cigars, which obviously have some Italian roots, with the owners of the famed car company.
10-Count Boxes
Product-wise, it’s taken three of its cigars and placed them in 10-count boxes. Selected for the new packaging is the Torpedo Connecticut (6 x 52), which uses an Ecuadorian Connecticut wrapper, Indonesian binder rand fillers from the Dominican Republic. In addition, the company’s Lucido Desflorado and San Andrés lines, both of which are only offered in a 6 x 56 size, are now offered in 10-count boxes.
Lucido uses an Ecuadorian Desflorado wrapper, Indonesian and Nicaraguan binders and fillers from the Dominican Republic and Nicaragua. As for the San Andrés, it uses a Mexican wrapper, Peruvian binder and fillers from the Dominican Republic.
Box pricing for the extensions are: Connecticut ($106.40), Lucido ($107.35) and San Andrés ($109.65).
Valentía produces cigars at ABAM Cigars, S.R.L. in the Dominican Republic.
