In one year, things at Emilio have changed dramatically. Last year Gary Griffith and Nate McIntyre headed up the company, but now, both are gone. Spencer McGuire is now the brand manager and the company is focused on rebranding its portfolio, something it hinted at it this year’s show.
There wasn’t anything new at the show, but they were showing off the Mia Dora, which was released earlier this year. It comes in three sizes: Coronita (5 1/2 x 44, $8.40), Robusto (5 x 50, $9.50) and Toro (6 x 50, $11). It has a habano rosado wrapper over Nicaraguan binder and filler.
In other news, they have also finally disclosed the factory that La Musa is blended at – My Father Cigars S.A. in Nicaragua.
